The Only TV Recycling in Albuquerque
TV recycling is hard to come by. In fact, Albuquerque Computer & Electronics Recycling is the only place that does it in all of New Mexico. Not even the city does TV recycling. But, we consider this to be a valuable service because we don’t want those TVs ending up in a landfill. We charge a $0.50/lb processing fee for recycling TVs. Naturally, the cost is higher for a 50” rear projection TV than for a newer flat-screen TV.
Albuquerque TV Recycling Made Easy
To recycle your old TV, all you have to do is bring it by Albuquerque Computer & Electronics Recycling during business hours, which are 7 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Thursday, and 9 am - 1 pm Friday. If you need help getting the TV out of your car once you get here, we are happy to help with that. The only thing we ask is that you do not bring any broken TVs for recycling. They don’t need to be functioning, but they can’t have broken glass/shattered screens.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I recycle a tube TV in Albuquerque?
Yes, we recycle tube TVs (CRT TVs), rear projection TVs, and newer flat-screen TVs like LED and LCD TVs. The only type of tube TVs we cannot accept is if the glass if broken or the TV is otherwise not intact.
Do you do residential recycling pick-ups?
We do not do pick-ups for individuals, only for businesses. However, it’s easy to come by our recycling facility in Albuquerque and simply drop off your old TV. Or, if you happen to be a business with TVs you need to recycle, we can schedule a pick-up for those.
Why is there a charge for TV recycling?
As an Albuquerque electronics recycling center, when we charge a processing fee, it’s to help us cover our costs for the recycling process. If we’re able to sell parts to cover our costs, then we don’t need to charge a fee. But TV recycling is a more involved process, and we have to pay higher prices for recycling some of the components, thus the additional charge.
